The BMW performance kit tells you to order the newer improved strut mounts the LCI cars have, It's not necessary you could reuse your exiting strut mounts, but I would replace them going through all the trouble disassembling the strut.

You can see they look like they have some heat treatment on the metal.
The ones currently on your car won't look like that.

Make sure you order the correct ones and not the non-sport package ones.
