Ok so picked up some autoglym wheel cleaner (the acidic one). It took 90% of the crap off, but I'm left with the iron-y bits of brake dust now. Will have to pick up some AD or that dragon's breath stuff to get the rest off. Then an alloy wheel repair kit.
