You're right, the GMFV appears low. A year ago a good 3 series was rated as 50% after 3 years, now your lucky if its 35%.

I also called two brokers who were quoting online 14-15K residual for the same car and they said their online systems had yet to be updated for new Jan 09 residuals which have given large capacity petrol cars a real beating, they then said 12-13k would be more like it.

BMW said their FV figures all dropped on 5th Jan.

I've got November Glasses guide and it shows the following monthly depreciations:

08 335i touring auto m sport (manual not listed) -£425 pm
06 (2.5 - 3 years old) as above -£875 pm!
08 335i coupe m sport -£1125 pm!!!
08 335i convert m sport -£1550 pm!!! WTF!!!

So oddly the older 335i touring is losing double the new one per month. But even the 08 320d m sport is losing £550 pm.

I'll buy the car if its worth more than the GMFV (as my 330i was after 2 year PCP).
