TBH the 6AT 'feels' faster than the DCT. Not saying transmission shifts are faster, but the feeling of torque seems greater in the 6AT, perhaps it's the DCTs tall final drive or something.

Agree with this - When I test drove 4 335s back to back (2 6AT and 2 DCT) at the dealership 6AT def felt faster. To be more specific, 1st gear feels alot faster in the ZF. For some reason 1st gear in the DCT feels sloppy like traction control is limiting the power (but no DSC light) when flooring it off the line.
Every sales rep (at diff bibs) agreed with me. That said up shifts under WOT in the DCT are 'crisper', whereas the ZF feels smooth like butter.
I don't think you can go wrong with either. Then flash/piggyback the 335i and call it a day if it's your daily.
