Not sure how to interpret what your saying in response to my comment.
I said the short answer of a big turbo increasing lag is yes, but that if properly sized it won't
adversely affect drivability.
Yes or no question doesn't give the full picture. A turbo that goes full spool at 1500 rpm probably won't feel too much different than one that comes full spool at 2000 rpm in terms of drivability even though the second turbo has more 'lag'.
