The June 27 issue of AutoWeek just came today and they announced that the 335is Coupe was the hands-down winner of their 2011 Fantasy Camp:
"No Contest - For Autoweek/ZF Fantasy Campers, One Coupe Stood Out From The Crowd"
"But by the final tally, nothing could touch this year's AutoWeek/ZF Fantasy Camp winner: the BMW 335is."
Cars that were driven included the Audi A5 2.0T, Cadillac CTS, Chevy Camaro SS, Dodge Challenger SRT8, Ford Boss 302 Mustang, Honda Accord EX-L, Infiniti G37 IPL, Mercedes-Benz E350, and VW GTI. These cars were selected by 50,000 votes cast by AutoWeek readers as the best sports coupe for under $50,000.
The BMW had the best 0-60 time with the exception of the Camaro and the Mustang. With the exception of the VW at 3,034 lbs., it was the lightest car at 3,571 lbs. The Dodge tipped the scale at over 4,000 lbs.!
Base prices ranged from 27,200 for the VW to $51,100 for the BMW. BMW was had the highest "as tested" price at $61,025.
