Panoramic sunroof cover problem - any repair DIY's?

Well, seems the pano cover on my E91 wagon has decided to jam up and now the 2 panels that make up the cover have become undone. The mechanics of the roof (popup, open and close) work fine, but the 2 panels are no longer linked together and do not line up with the tracks.

When the roof opens the covers slide back and the rear most panel gets stuck. When the sunroof closed the front panel will slide forward and only half the roof will be covered. In the summer, and with the car sitting out in the sun, figure this will become a problem. So for now I have to jam my hand into the roof liner and pull the back panel closed.

Any DIY's on how to repair this?
Any place besides the dealership where I can order parts for the sunroof?
Figure the clips and tabs that hold the panels together and in the sunroof tracks will need to be replaced.

Any help appreciated. Dealership says I have to replace the entire pano roof section at an astronomical cost. I call shenanigans on them!
