Hello -
Today I was informed by the BMW service center that the fuel pump needed replacement.
My car has less than 46K miles on it. Did a bit of research and came across this Wikipedia link...

When I purchased the car last year, here was no owners manual so I'm not sure if I have the N54 engine referred to in the article.
The service person at the dealership said that there was no recall on the fuel pump.
Any and all advice is greatly appreciated. I love the car but am shocked that this pricey repair after only 45K miles.
