There is the same amount of tax on petrol as there is diesel here is the UK.

Diesel is going up faster in price that petrol as more and more diesel has to be brought in from abroad as diesel usage is soaring.

From crude oil 40% makes petrol and only 23% diesel.

The more people buy diesel or even the less petrol used with more fuel efficient new cars, will keep pushing diesel up.
