Not necessarily true. If a slot was available it may have been allocated already. Both of my September delivered cars were ordered at the start of July and were also buit in July.
Unfortunately the BMW build changes (Septemeber / March) are just the wrong times for anyone wanting the new plate on the day it comes out.
The BMW website won't update until much closer to September. They don't want to put people off ordering new cars after all.
