Pretty "generic" card like that works, everybody has a coffee/tea or a random cookie now and then. I have in the past considered a bottle of wine, but with my luck, in politically correct world we live in, didn't want to take a chance of service manager being "...x years sober" or something like that.
It's not so much about them making money on the deal or this gift's monetary value. It's just a nice thing to do for someone who treated you nice. Not doing anything is perfectly fine, as this is a business transaction after all, but if you were happy and gift card won't break the bank, why not.
