A lot of phones are not compatible with the BMW bluetooth system. That's why I try to stick with Motorola which have worked flawlessly for me. I've just recently switched to a Blackberry Curve and was glad it was compatible. The only thing is that I have to wait for the prompt screen to come up on the phone and then hit yes so it could accept the bluetooth connection. Other than that, it's fine.
Oh if you could, get the iPhone. That will definitely work with the BT system.
