If you want to get more out of your Apple TV, you could always look at installing the aTV flash on top of it. It becomes FAR more useful with aTV.

As far as the micro USB cable, any decent micro USB cable will work. I say "decent" because I had some issues getting a proper connection with a cheap cable.
