I have a 2011 335d with 49000 miles. I haven't driven it much in 2014. I haven't had injectors replaced but this latest trip to the dealer they ended up sending the head out to be cleaned of carbon buildup. I tried with the SA to engage in discussion of getting DDE replaced but SA just said to buy the extended warranty.
Any advice on getting through to them on replacing the DDE would be appreciated. This is my first BMW. I intended to drive it 500,000 miles. Instead it might be my last BMW…
I have seen some posts on additives for fuel. Is the consensus that additives will really help to prevent carbon buildup or is it just wishful thinking?
