Hey Houstonians! May have introduced myself before but trying to stay active on these forums now. Took home my first BMW Sept 2011. 2011 328i. Studying up on mods and how to take care of it.

Anyone have any suggestions on a good shop to do in-between oil changes at?

Also a quick question: I went into the shop recently for my one year oil change, I guess it got its oil changed when it was delivered to the dealership in 2011. When I go to the Oil menu it says 6000 miles or April 2013 (If I am reading it correctly). Does this mean they didn't reset my gauge (should read 15,000 miles after an oil change at the dealer, right?) Also it shows a symbol of the car on a lift at 16,000 miles and I'm at 14,100.

Having a hard time understanding those gauges and what they mean.
