That is harsh. Feel for you mate, same thing happened to me last year. Burst a recently fitted tyre. Council shot me down because They were not aware of the pot hole before me. As I was the first my claim does not count, but all others after me would.

Hopefully someone has flagged it up and claimed before you. Go for it, As someone posted a link to a news article a while ago about the size of the funds council has put aside for pot hole claims. Its substantial.
