Havent seen it in the E90 yet, but in other BMWs it works great for signal and keeping your battery charged.
Only problem is limited phone types supported with cradles
The manufacturers just arnt supplying them for bmw and many new phones dont have any way to connect to a external antenna
Your dealers parts department can supply you with the available cradles
