Was recently looking at this myself.
The other thing is the Alpina comes on 19 inch wheels with no Run-flats from the factory and the ride/handling is supposed to be very good.
The other consideration was if you planned on tuning the D3 is pretty much at its limit of tune but 330d seems to have much more to give.
I got over the dilema by getting a petrol instead!!
