I have a 2007 335i with sports package. Over the past few weeks, every morning when I start the car and drive, the 'check engine' light comes up.
However, if I stop and restart the engine, everything is fine then.

If I keep the engine running for about two minutes before running the car away, the problem does not seem to occur. Another observation is that the light only comes up when the temperature is around 40 degrees or below.

Any inputs around what's going around or what can I do?

Took it to the local dealer here in Richmond, VA and they are asking for $125 to run a diagnostic test. Is is it normal for delaerships to charge such an amount?
