There's no comparing the two of them. Montoya was very, very talented in race trim, and pulled off some spectacular overtakes; remember him going around Schumacher at Interlagos?
Maldonado, on the other hand, has made some glaring mistakes in racing conditions, and has really only showed his ability when presented with a clear track, much like Vettel.
