So it looks like VentureShield is out with a 58" wide roll of 7510 and 7514 (thick stuff) paint protection film:

This is a European site, but I would think this should be available in the US too. Does anybody know about the availability of the 58" wide film?
I am getting my car in a few months and I want to protect it ASAP for a long road trip I have planned. Ideally, I would like to cover the entire hood with a single piece of paint protection film (PPF).
Does anybody know if the 58" wide rolls will do the job? The specs online give a wheel center to wheel center distance of 59.1 inches, so we are close. Doesn't look like the 58" sheets will do it, especially figuring in the exact lenght taking into account all the curvature from one side to the other.
Anybody have experience with this?
I don't have my car yet, could somebody measure their 09 e90 hood at the widest point with a cloth tape measure and report the width?
Anybody interested in a group purchase?
Remember, you will never get another oem quality coat of paint on your car after the first.
