Turns out it was some kind of hardware failure that controls the steering sensor??? causing the problem. After a week they resolved it and now my steering feels like a brand new car!
I will grab the paper work and get the exact problem name/cause/parts they replaced if anyone is interested...
And as far as the staggered wheels go...I'm under the impression that the stock 18" sport wheel package is 8.5 front and 9.5 rear....those are the tires sizes i went with any way!
