I use a 17mm impact socket on a 3" extension bar attached to a breaker bar for removal. For tightening I use the same setup except I finger tighten the bolts first and then replace the breaker bar with a torque wrench calibrated to 87 ft/lb. Either on or off I have to put the impact socket onto my lug key.
