No need to remove your grills, I borrowed a can of matt black Plastidip from my cousin and sprayed the lower grills directly on the bumper. The kidney grills were removed to make sure all the chrome was hidden when sprayed.

Main thing to do is make sure the plastic grills are clean, dry and degreased. I sprayed the grills 3 times to get a nice uniform finish.

The pictures attached are after 2 coats, you can see around the edges of the two outer lower grills I accidentally removed the masking tape before the rubber Plastidip spray dried. On the third layer of spraying these areas were addressed.

I'd say it took me approximately 1 hour to do this and I'm pleased with the outcome.
