Well I think finally I-94 east of Ann Arbor heading downtown Detroit is almost done. I drove down to watch the Tigers loose the World Series
the other night and there was nary a pothole to be found. In/around Ann Arbor the roads are still a mess, however - despite having some of the highest taxes in the state. Funny how that works...
I wonder sometimes... I drive by all the truck weigh stations where they are supposed to charge trucks extra by weight to account for the increased damage they do to the roads. But there are never any trucks in there and it seems they are almost never open? What gives? Does that system even work? Frankly, I'd do toll roads if it meant better roads and buying less tires/wheels.
