Yes. This is the only area on the car that is 24" or less from both the center of the grill and the corner of the headlights. Much better headlight protection in the red (edit) location.

the depth available in the red location will have the sensor protrude past the vertical slats just slightly. So, there will be no problem with the slats blocking the sensors.
