Oh boy...it is quite the opposite. I had RFTs for almost 2 years before I realized the harsh bang of every road imperfection wasn't the road...it was my POS Bridgestone Potenza RFTs.

When I switched out to my Yokohama S-Drives, I couldn't believe the difference.

IMO RFTs are the absolute worst thing to hit the tire industry- they wear faster, create a more harsh, noisy ride, and cost an arm and a leg.

That said, I did get a 17 inch wheel and tire package from JMK BMW in Springfield New Jersey today.

This is because they offered a sweet package with 17" BMW OEMS, with Bridgestone Blizzak LM-25s, and yes they are RFTs, but I figured in the winter the ride is so harsh and tires are cold most of time anyway so what's the difference?

Not to mention the fact that if something were to happen like a road hazard etc. it will be a lot more miserable to have a non-runflat tire should the worst come about.
