Four reasons:
1.) To save gas. vs V8
2.) To keep miles on M3 low so that it retains value.
3.) To not buy snows for the M3.
4.) To enjoy the M3 more when I do drive it.
#4 is the biggest reason. Daily driving the M3, causes me to forget how awesome it is and get bored with it. Yet taking it out at night when the roads are empty or on the weekend, allows me to always enjoy it and reminds me why I'm paying a fortune for it. (still owe $45,000 CAD on it)
5.) M3 is DCT, 330 is MT. I enjoy both and it's nice changing between them. |
I can understand all the reasons except the 2nd. I'm pretty sure you've heard the saying, but I'm gonna say it. Not driving your car to retain value is like not screwing your girlfriend to save her for the next guy. Haha but the gas mileage difference would do it for me.
