Very true, but on all my manual cars I've preferred not to have the manufacturer nanny my clutch technique

If you can properly rev match between downshifts (like a lot of us), this thing was just plain annoying. If you're trying to launch the car or are doing high load shifts (say on track) they actually slow engagement enough to accelerate clutch and flywheel wear.

If you're doing a lot of parallel parking the damn things are totally infuriating.
