cant you set the sky box to 1080i via the services or set up section,ive tried this a couple of times as the sky fitter set it to 1080i when he installed it,but i have a sony kdlv40a12u which is 720 so i set back to this(im no whizz kid with this stuff though).
i also read an article in one of the magazines,who did an in depth test on various expensive cables,and the upshot was that there was not enough of a difference to justify the cost.
