Sad indeed. It will be interesting to see how the new turbo four stacks up in the real world, both in terms of performance and economy. No doubt BMW will be able to claim a nice bump in mpg in the EPA tests, but let's see what happens when this engine gets out on real streets with real people driving. If drivers are going to get the same level of performance that we are getting from our N52s, I predict that the real world mpg differences won't be that great. We will soon see.
