CA fob has a non rechargeable battery. The design of the CA fob is slightly different as it has the battery access 'flap' which is not present on the non-CA fob.
If it was rechargeable, I see no reason why it would have the flap - it would be identical to the non-CA fob.
Also...page 35 of the 2009 manual - The remote control for cars with convernient access contains a battery that will need to be replaced from time to time.
