A little good news for N55 owners. BMS is now actively working on the Stage2 upgrade kit. The upgrade kit is a new box (and a few wires) you plug in to the Stage1 harness to make it a Stage2. It will have all the functionality of the N54 JB4 including their industry leading steering wheel controls and in dash integration, build in code reading/deleting, built in DPFIX, on the fly map switching, CANflap, MaxCool, etc. BMS has not set a date for its public alpha release yet but they are making progress at a better than expected pace. They plan to release it as an upgrade to the Stage1 only initially. No word yet on pricing but rumor has it will be around $100.

Attached is a short video and corresponding log from some early low boost 91 octane tuning down in Mexico. In the video you can see the stealth gauges in action. They show fuel and oil temperature while driving around but once you get on the throttle they instantly switch over to boost and timing advance, or whatever in dash options you'd like. Then after you're off the gas for 15 seconds they switch back to stock again. It's an extremely convenient way to use in dash gauges. I can also see in the video they need to reduce the shift light delay to match the DCT's lightning fast shifting!
