From my experience with rubbing the main area of concern is where the metal arch joins the plastic rear bumper. The main problem is that the join spot on the metal can be quite rough, and will scrape your tyre on dips.
Mine still rubs occasionally but I took a dremel to the inside of that join to smooth it out and then give it a dab of anti rust. Should stop it damaging the tyre
