I didn't get hit with an import tax either. If they ship it as a gift it should be fine. FYI no one can just take $ from your PayPal account unless you authorize it even if you did a prior transaction with them. If anything we would have received something when it was delivered.
For the price, including paint, either spoiler cannot be beat.
