I owned a 08 mazdaspeed3 for 2 years and still have friends that drive them. 2500-4000rpm i'd say the speed3 is stronger. everywhere else it isn't. This is stock N54 vs stock MS3. The MS3 is all midrange with a narrow but explosive powerband, the 335 have it after 4000~. MS3 is a huge pain to launch, my best 1/4 was a embrassing 14.7@97 on a hot humid night at Cayuga, I got the car to wheelhop so bad the dashboard turned off on one of the runs.

The speed3 is down on HP, drivetrain lashes and fwd. It does have a few advantages, one is weight, the other is far far far shorter gearings, the gearing turns into a disadvantage tho once modded, they're far too short for 300whp car.
