So when i turn on the car, you're saying the DTC button on my car is the button that will turn off DTC? And once i push the button, the little yellow light on my screen that reads "DTC" means that DTC is OFF?

So BMW should call the default mode: DSC
and when you push the DTC button it should be called: DSC-DTC.
that would make more sense.
