30,000kms without an oil change.... unbelievable - what are they thinking..!!??

However it does raise the question, if you get an Indy to change the oil and filter (approved bmw gear).... should they reset the service indicator, or simply do the change and leave it as is... reporting that it needs to be done in July 2012?

If BMW state that a car MUST be maintained to THEIR specs to avoid warranty rejections... surely if the oil has been changed outside of approved timings, this would be reason for them to say.. "sorry, we told you when you had to change your oil - but you ignored bmw spec, therefore you have voided your warranty"??
