You don't want to use an acid based cleaner. My suggestion would be to wash it with a fairly strong degreaser. Even something like Dawn dishwashing liquid will work. Then do the clay bar to get off any other contaminents and follow with a couple coats of a synthtic wax. Don't use a carnauba based wax because your wheels get too hot and will melt the carnauba off in no time. There are a lot of synthetic based waxes available through local auto parts stores.
