Not in my E90, but my mom had a bad experience in her F25 X3. She hit a deer in rural Indiana at ~75 mph. No airbags went off, radiator pushed back, hood crumpled. Kept her safe enough to keep driving to her destination without being stuck on the side of the road.

Her previous daily was a 2010 Civic (after her 04 E83 X3 talked her into being more fuel efficient) that she had just traded in for the new BMW, and our family was all sure that the civic would've gotten her seriously injured and/or stranded if she hit the same deer at the same speed.

I looked at Check Control to see if any errors came up when I went to check on her the next day, and EVERYTHING was fine. Not a drop of coolant spilled or anything.

She's set on BMW for life now.
