Situation awareness is a large part of avoiding accidents, and there's a lot of psychology behind this. You drive a decent car, and you take good care of it (some of you here, I would argue, are obsessed). You want to make sure you don't crash into anything, or anyone, if you can help it, and you're also constantly scanning for inattentive drivers around you. I know I do, but that's because I'm a Dad. I can be driving a rusty Pinto, and I would still be scanning to avoid idiots talking on the phone, texting, nodding off, etc.

E9x cars are pretty good handlers, and the brakes are impressive. However, I know that when you drive certain cars, or when you're in a rental car, there's a level of complacency that comes into play when you're behind the wheel.
