Road Pricing Petition RE: Traveltax

Dont know about you or your politics but this smacks too much of 1984 for my liking.

The date for the petition runs out February 20th.

If you think the government should bill us by the mile and at the same time know where and when you have been in your car well....
It will cost 60 billion to start up and 6 billion a year to run, surely monies much better spent in education or health, rather than lining a licensed companies pockets (unless of course you have the savvy to start up 1 of these companies and get the government contract)

Did you know the government raises £47 million\billion per annum and only £7 is put back into the roads (could be million or billion not sure on actuals but the relative #'s are correct)

I know its only a proposal but if there's enough signatures then someone has to listen its called democracy.
