like any insurance product you need to read the policy contract end to end to find out what is covered what is excluded and what the reimbursement terms are to you. i would not want to keep a bmw out of new car warranty personally, but if forced to i would pick up mechanical breakdown insurance that includes electronics

Just called Geico and the cost for the policy is anywhere between $25 - $70 (depending on the car) every 6 months which does sound dirt cheap. There is a $250 deductible per claim and the catch is that your car should be less than 15 months and have less than 15,000 miles to be eligible!
