Hey,
This last track weekend completely destroyed my RE01Rs. I currently have 245/45/ZR17 on my car and love them to death. They get sticky as all hell and lasted me 6 HPDE days and I think....8 autocrosses or something like that. They will probably last one more autocross which is fine with me and then after that autocross (8/10) I want to swap them out for 255/40/ZR17 before my 8/23-24 NASA weekend and 8/27-28 days with the CCA.

I love the RE01R, they are the best tires I've ever driven on. However, the Direzzas are getting some attention and they are a good $60 less per tire. Does anyone have first hand experience with both? The money really isn't a problem if the RE01R will definitively perform better. Oh and just to clarify, by perform better I really care more about performance on the track. I'm sure both are worthy tires in an autocross setting but I need these tires for 6 more HPDE days this year.

Another thing is that I really really don't want to move to R Compounds yet. I would like to remain on street tires as long as I can manage, which I think waiting until next spring will suffice. At that time I'll also be moving up to 18" wheels so...for now I'm going to stick with street 17"s.

EDIT: So since the Direzzas are on Backorder the choices are now RE01R and Advan Neova...
