Glad I found this thread, as last night I heard a clunk when doing a turn in a tight road after parking - the clunk could be felt through the steering wheel. I'd just re-installed my wider (summer) wheels at the weekend, and you can really feel the difference in the car. I had assumed that the added width of the tyres was probably something to do with the clunk and had assumed that it might be the steering rack moving, as I had undone it last summer to install my DPs.
After reading this it looks like I'll be tightening those two bolts this weekend, but does anybody know if they need to be done to a certain torque?
