Thanks! Kinda pricey and too far away, but very much the type of thing I was thinking of.

I'm not so sure. I mean just the fact that they exist is indicative of some level of interest (I actually first heard about it on a segment one of those nightly news types of shows a while ago). To each his own though.

As a consumer, I would find value of paying say $100 to be able to install my own DP's in the proper environment, avoiding the $250+ or whatever it costs a shop to do it for me.

As a businessman, I can definitely see the potential. At that kent guy's rates, just one rack can pull over $9k a month at 100% occupancy (obviously one wouldn't assume 100% occupancy, especially initially). That's gotta pay the bills and offer a quick return on the initial investment it'd take. Get a few financially secure guys together and I find it to be quite do-able without needing a ton of cash up front (relative to other new business opportunities that is).

WRT broadening the audience a bit, That Kent one even has hireable mechanics. This brings possibilities, like being able to develop a relationship with a good sr. mechanic whom you trust to do work on your car that could even be a full time mechanic somewhere else. Or what about also having a cheaper, less experienced guy that just handles maintenance? A complementary shuttle perhaps? lol
