He is misinformed. Tons of shop owners pass up business out of fear of screwing something up due to ignorance.
Successful Specs = alignment specifications that people have used and enjoy. For my case, I searched forums, until I found specs that multiple people tried and loved. Worked great for me, and my car is new animal because of it.

Thanks for the info Clayton. I would think there would be only one ideal alignment setting for a particular tire set up. I mean,it's either aligned or it isn't. But now I know different
