Would one faulty glow plug cause such uneven idling?

Also, I can't seem to access any of the three DDE Diesel Electronic modules listed in DIS to be able to interrogate the system further, any idea why this is?
Yeah, my 330d went in last year for rough cold start idle which turned out to be a glow plug failure. However when they replaced the glow plug they found that the glow plug controller had gone down. Ive got the same rough idle again these last few cold mornings. I need to get a code reader on it now and look at replacing hopefully just the offending plug(s).
