So we were @ infineon yesterday for a track event (pictures coming)...and there was a sale at the race shop. I ended up getting an OMP standard ball type shift knob for $12!! For shits and giggles I put it on....
HOLY #@*(^&. This is the way the car should have felt from the factory. It feels great now! Feels like a short shifter compared to the OEM knob. Who would have guessed that the shifts feel like crapola because of the knob!! This in combination with an actual short shifter would be kick ass! For those of you who have a 6 spd and an OEM knob, go out and buy a new one... I recommend an aftermarket piece (around the same amount of money for the shorter OEM one anyways, just make sure the knob is smaller than the OEM). It's crazy how much that one small piece improves the overall feel of the car.
