It was a fault on 05/06 ish door handles, there's a nylon slider on the back of the handle and it just sticks.
My 06 330i had it fixed under warranty when they stuck in 07, but the fix was probably them just bodging / oiling it somehow, as stealers do.
But they never stuck again and then newer handles were changed to avoid it.
As said try some silicon type spray in the back end of the handle.
